Dine LA... "say what?!"

DINE LA makes my life just a tad bit easier when it comes to deciding where to eat. If you haven't heard of it yet, it's an LA experience where for two weeks (July 14-28), restaurants create a preset menu for a great price. The two weeks definitely isn't enough time to try the plenty of places that are participating sooo i'd say... plan accordingly. I'm all about this, because it gives me an opportunity to try new restaurants without going broke per se. It lets me decide whether or not I would come back for more. Here is a little review of my first experience this year. If you have any questions or any restaurants you recommend, please feel free to comment below!! KOI

West Hollywood

Service: ★★★★☆

Food: ★★★★☆

ALL in ALL: ★★★★☆

I would definitely go back for more.  it's a simple yet classy venue best for date night. Service was impeccable, very attentive all around from the moment I stepped in. My favorite dish of the night was the THIRD COURSE... so keep reading and check it out. Oh.. and if you start to get hungry and want to try this place out,...

FIRST COURSE

Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna - this had just the right ratio for each of the ingredients, only thing I could say is I want a spicier jalapeño.

Spicy Seared Albacore Crispy Onion, Ponzu - too much sauce! lol! no really, this was a good appetizer, i love crispy onions. I just couldn't finish it all because I wanted to make sure I had room for my filet.

SECOND COURSE

Kiiro Roll Albacore, Cucumber, Tempura Flakes with Yellowtail, Avocado & Jalapeño Aioli - This was an OK roll, it was just missing something that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

THIRD COURSE

Peppercorn Filet Mignon Toban Yaki Shishito Potato Mash - OMG!!  my mouth is watering just writing this review... MUST TRY!!! this dish was FIRE! Literally after almost every bite I was like, "mmm... FIRE!" lol! It came out sizzling hot, meat was cooked to perfection,  (Medium is how I like my steak) the mash with the garnish on top added the perfect blend to pull this whole dish together. I devoured this in minutes, didn't leave a bite behind, honestly wish I had more.

DESSERT

Créme Brulee - Loved! It wasn't too sweet which made it even lovelier to eat and savor without being overkill.

Mochi - This was a poppyseed mochi, which to me, didn't seem to have much of a taste to it. Probably wouldn't order this again
